From Les Bonano, Brawkin' In N'Awlins

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS -Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis and Les Bonano of "Brawlin' In N'Awlins announce Golden Meadow, LA's Zane Mark and Indiana's Derrick Findley will fight in the 10-round main event on the July 10 card from Hollywood Bay St. Louis.

Middleweight Zane “The Train,” Marks (17-5, 10 KOs) goes head to head with Derrick “Superman” Findley (16-3, 10 KOs). Findley hails from Gary, IN.

Marks, who at age 17 was trained by the late Frank James from Baton Rouge, LA, and is managed by Damien St. Pierre, has been in the ring with former champions Will McIntyre and Lucien Bute.  Marks lost by split decision in his latest bout against the World Boxing Council’s No. 8-ranked fighter Kingsley Ikeke in a bout that put Ikeke’s NABA title on the line.

Findley is a hard fighter, and his losses came at the hands of unbeaten fighters Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell, rated in the Top Three in the World Rankings.

Female boxer April Ward (6-1, 6 KOs), from Batesville, AR, will return to the Hollywood ring where she was handed her only defeat earlier this year. She will face hard-hitting Melisenda Perez (6-1-1, 4 KOs), from Kansas City, MO.

Three of the area's best amateur fighters will be making their professional debuts. Kyle Bullock, of Ocean Springs, MS, is scheduled to fight Jamond Bourgeois (1-0 losses), from New Orleans, LA. Cut Off, LA welterweight Casey Adams will start his pro boxing life after a very celebrated amateur career in winning the Junior Olympics and Golden Glove Championships. He will fight against fellow rookie Lekirk Pringle, from Mobile, AL.

The undercard will feature New Orleans' unbeaten Marcus McDaniel (3-0) versus Omar Ballard (7-15 losses), from Columbus, MS.

“McDaniel is the hottest prospect to come out of New Orleans in many years, and don’t let Ballard’s record fool you – this IS going to be a SLUGFEST,” said Bonano.

Confirmation is still pending for the opponent who will battle Mark Salzer (9-0), who is traveling the country to gain experience. Salzer hails from. Mansfield, OH.
