The 74th annual Chattanooga Golden Gloves is scheduled for March 12-13 at Central High School in Harrison, TN. The school is located at 5728 Hwy. 58. Teams from nine states, including Ohio, are expected to attend. Coaches are urged to contact coach Andy Smith as soon as possible, no later than 9 p.m. on March 10. Ragin' Cajun Boxing Club won five of seven bouts on March 6 at Kenner, LA, and won the team trophy. Ragin' Cajun boxers who won their bouts included Wilfred Fuselier, Dylan Landry, Hunter Marvin, Shay Lambright and Cade Duckworth. Fuselier's bout was selected as the Fight of the Night.

Van Buren, AR native and former world minimumweight world champion Hollie Dunaway won a split decision over previously unbeaten Chantel Cordova on Jan. 28 at the Coca-Cola Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Dunaway's manager, Ron Brand, tells Deep South Boxing Dunaway controlled the action throughout and should have won the fight by unanimous decision. Dunaway is a current resident of Las Vegas.

Nelson Risks Unbeaten Record In 'Fights At The Fitz' Series |

TUNICA, MS - The next installment of Prize Fight Boxing's popular "Fights at the Fitz" series is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30 at Fitzgerald's Hotel & Casino.
The tentative five-bout card is headlined by Little Rock super middleweight Jonathan Nelson (12-0, 6 KOs) fighting in the 8-round main event against Atlanta veteran Darnell Boone (16-14-2, 6 KOs).
Nelson, who is trained by his father, Ozell Nelson, enters the fights off a first-round knockout of Blake Swanson in December at Shooters Sports Bar in Texarkana, AR.
As for Boone, he lost an 8-round unanimous decision to New York, NY's Jose Angel Rodriguez (15-1-1, 2 KOs) only two weeks ago in Yonkers, NY.
The tentative undercard is below:
Fighting in an 8-round female junior welterweight bout are Atlanta's Nicole Woods (9-6, 1 KOs) and Little Rock's Kim Connors (5-1, 3 KOs), Woods is unbeaten in five fight at the Fitz.
Featherweights in a 6-round featherweight bout are Maryland's Gary Russell Jr. (6-0, 3 KOs) and Atlanta's David Orosco Cano (1-6).
Popular Prize Fight middleweight Dominic Wade (5-0, 5 KOs) takes on Indianapolis, IN's Mustapha Johnson (7-6, 2 KOs). The bout is scheduled for four rounds.
Atlanta's Rohan Wilson (2-2-1, 1 KO) meets Memphian Dedrick Bell (1-0, 1 KO) in a 4-round junior welterweight scrap.
