TUNICA, MS - Prize Fight Boxing is proud to introduce the second installment of "Mississippi Fight Night" on SportsSouth.
"Fights at the Fitz" will air on SportsSouth from the beautiful Fitzgerald's Hotel and Casino. The six-out card will feature some of the hottest prospects in the sport today.
"This entire series is built around tomorrow's stars today," said Brian Young, of Prize Fight.
The main event on the card is a classic duel of two talented junior middleweights, "Showtime" Shawn Porter (14-0, 11 KOs), of Akron, OH, and St. Paul, MN's Robert Kliewer (10-10, 6 KOs).
Porter, a 2008 Olympic Team alternate, and one of the hottest prospects in boxing, looks to continue his winning ways against the formidable Kliewer in this 8-round bout. Defeating Bobby Kliewer will be no easy task for Porter as Kliewer is well known for being a tough customer in the middleweight division. Porter is well on his way to achieving his goal of a world title and can't take Kliewer lightly or his hopes could be derailed.
The feature bout of the evening is an exciting match of undefeated fighters. Dominic Wade (6-0, 5 KOs), of Laurel, MD, and Michael Faulk (2-0), of Minneapolis, MN, square off in an action-packed middleweight bout which is sure to have the Tunica fans on their feet.
The scintillating 6-bout card is filled out with three evenly-matched affairs featuring a classic light heavyweight battle between Dontae Woods and Terry Porter, a brutal heavyweight match between Adam Kownacki and Yohan Banks, a 4-round junior welterweight Marlon Lewis and Chris Gray and the professional debut of Tupelo, MS welterweight Rodney Coffman.
Doors open at 7 p.m./CT for this exciting night of boxing. The first bout begins at 7:30 p.m./CT.
Tickets are available through all Ticketmaster locations at 901-525-1515, or by calling Fitzgerald's at 1-800766-5825.
