Bad Boy Promotions Presents Batesville, AR Card On Feb. 27 PDF Print E-mail
From Brandon Foster
Bad Boy Promotions

BATESVILLE, AR - On Saturday, Feb. 27, professional boxing will be back in Batesville at the National Guard Armory.

Seven pro bouts are scheduled, along with two Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) bouts.

Local fighters expected to appear on their second card at the Armory are female middleweight April Ward (4-1, 4 KOs) and Mike Wagonblast (1-1). In April's initial appearance, retired Chelsey Chapman at the end of the first round. She says her next opponent may not make it that long.

Wagonblast fought in an exhibition bout at the Armory last June. Although the fight did not go down on his official record, Wagonblast won the bout and is confident for the same result on the 27th.

"Mike has improved tons since his last appearance at the Armory and I believe Mike has the style now to make a crowd favorite," Wagonblast head trainer, John Rooney said.

The card will also include former Tough Man champion, a former National Silver Gloves champion and a local fighter, Chris Gray, who will be making his professional debut.

Undefeated local female bantamweight Kristen Treadway (2-0) was originally scheduled to appear on the card, but because of an unexpected pregnancy, she was taken off the card. Bad Boy is working to put together another women's bout on the card. Details on that will be announced shortly.

Tickets are currently on sale and and can be picked up at Bad Boy Mowers between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the receptionist's desk in the front office.

For more ticket information or questions about the card, call Bad Boy Promotions at 870-613-1649.
